Project Description

"Insomnia Lights" is a public art installation that breathes slowly in the city at night. It attempts to reconnect those who remain awake in the late hours, using light as a medium – transforming "insomnia" from a solitary personal experience into a visible, shared map. As the night deepens, the flickering points of light on the surface of the installation coalesce into a temporary "map of insomniacs." It is both chaotic and rhythmic, like a collective heartbeat, and also like the data stream of the city at night. At a time when everyone thinks the world has fallen silent, these faint lights continue to respond to each other.The purpose of "Insomnia Lights" is to gently present the emotions of the urban night, allowing the light to speak for those who cannot sleep, saying: "I am here.
