Project Description

For data sculpture, I knew I wanted to experiment with pulling neuroscience data from publications and reinterpreting them in ways I'e not attempted with data analyses. How to compromise the rigor of data accuracy with accessibility and delightfulness. I selected natural memory forgetting data from O’Leary et al., and decided to translate the bar graphs of engram dendritic spine diminishment into a single 3D sculpture. I hope this is somewhat fun to look at, but to be honest I think I spent too much time worrying about morphological accuracy and data itself.
